Maybe I should describe it as an "Epic" Fail, but "Epic" is so overused. Ah, but I degress. Take a look for yourself:
Nothing says "we get you ladies" as an NFL team that drafts this guy, Jameis Winston and to prove it to you we'll launch a web site designed to help you love the Bucs. ...and don't forget we'll be giving away an autographed Jameis Winston Jersey every day during the Buccaneers training camp.
Click out of that jersey give away window and you have the "opportunity" to click your way to seeing all the wonderful things the Bucs are going to do to help women "love" their team. Casey Phillips, spokes model for Red Women's Movement tells us in this clip around 1:20 that you will be able to get style tips and recipes from the Bucs' Red Women's Movement. If that doesn't electrify you, get a look at the other information available at this launch site: Definition of "Play Clock", the release of the annual cheer leader's calendar, an interview with a linebacker, and a look see at Vincent Jackson's new restaurant.
What is conspicuously missing from this page is information that would appeal to me as a Mom of an athlete such as a review of the safety equipment, particularly helmets, what changes occurred to improve player safety, perhaps a review of the Bucs Domestic Violence policy. Maybe a page detailing how the Bucs plan to pay their cheerleaders fairly. Oh, yeah...not going to happen.
Hey, Tampa Bay Bucs, who'd you get to come up with this idea? Berkley Breathed?
