A couple weeks ago I wrote about two young adults who were going to lose their childhood home to back taxes. They started a crowd source account and it was going no where. After posting the diary here and a few other places, the funds came in over the course of a couple weeks. Plus, a few people gave nearly $400 more in cash over the IndieGoGo site collections.
The taxes were paid on Wednesday. Miami-Dade is billing for current taxes quarterly, which will be better for them. There was some extra funds collected and that will go toward the first quarterly payment and fixing the fence on the North side of the house.
I will be meeting them next week to strategize their probate needs.
